I don't have to tell you that we are in the midst of cold and flu season. It seems like everyone I talk to has someone sick at their house. This time of year can be stressful for parents. Let's face it…my kids always seem to be sick after the doctor's office closes!! Luckily there is a solution, and I am going to tell you how to get answers fast if your child has a fever!
With four children, I have dealt with more “illness” then I can count. It is something most parents are used to because kids seem to be magnets for every germ that is going around. This is particularly top of mind for families as we’re in the middle of a widespread flu season this year.
In the past, I would stress about whether I should take my child to an urgent care facility if they were sick and it was during the evening or a weekend. It is hard to know if their symptoms warrant getting bundled up and driving somewhere or if they just need some comfort, care and time to feel better.
