While Nutella is sold as a chocolate and hazelnut spread, the ingredients list tells a different story. It contains a high amount of sugar and also contains palm oil.

A two-tablespoon serving has 11 grams of saturated fat, 20 grams of sugar, and only 2 grams of protein.

The same amount of peanut butter has 3.3 grams of saturated fat, 3 grams of sugar, and 8 grams of protein. But it’s okay to splurge every once in a while.

How to make Baked Nutella Donut Holes

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a mini muffin pan and set it aside. You can also use a non-stick pan if you want.

Spray the donut holes with the butter cooking spray and toss each one in the cinnamon sugar to coat. Alternatively, you could pour the cinnamon sugar into a zip top bag and toss the donut holes.

Once they are all coated, place the Nutella inside a piping bag. If you don’t have a piping bag, use a zip top bag that you have snipped one corner off of and added a piping tip to.

Insert the piping tip into the donut holes and fill them with Nutella until they expand. Don’t fill too much of they will split and fall apart.
