Air fryers are generally similar to deep fryers, but they use less oil and cook food faster by using circulating hot air. Therefore, Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Potato Skins Recipe is not the same as regular Air Fryer Recipes.

What are the ingredients to make buffalo chicken potato skins?

To make Buffalo Chicken Potato Skins, you are going to need:

  • Favorite buffalo chicken – Find the recipe here.
  • medium baking potatoes
  • Olive oil
  • sea salt
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • bacon
  • Green onions
  • Foil

Now that we have gathered all of our ingredients, follow the steps below to make this recipe.

Instructions For The Potatoes:

Preheat Air Fryer to 400. If your Air Fryer doesn't have a preheating option, start the AF at that temperature for about 5 minutes.

Poke each potato about five to six times using a fork or a sharp knife.

Next, you will rub or spray the potatoes with oil and sprinkle the salt.

Place the potatoes inside your Air Fryer basket or tray (depending on the model of Air Fryer) and make sure they are NOT crowding each other.

When we use large potatoes, we are only allowed to fit two, so keep that in mind. You don't have to place them all at the same time. Also, the size of your Air Fryer will affect how many potatoes you can fit inside.

Set the Air Fryer to 400 for 20 minutes, turn, and cook for 20 minutes.

Once is done cooking, life out the potatoes using tongs.

Place the potato on a flat surface and slice each potato in half.

Scoop out the potato and add chicken and cheese.

Place the potatoes back into the Air Fryer for two more minutes or until the skin is crispy and cheese is melted.

Garnish with additional toppings if desired, and drizzle hot sauce or ranch dressing.

Ingredients

  • Favorite buffalo chicken
  • 3-4 medium baking potatoes
  • Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of sea salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup cooked bacon
  • Green onions
  • Foil

Instructions

Preheat Air Fryer to 400.

Pierce each potato 5-6 times with a fork or sharp knife. Rub or spray with oil and sprinkle with the salt.

Place potatoes in the Air Fryer basket, making sure they are not crowding each other. We had large potatoes, so we could only fit two potatoes at a time.

Cook potatoes for 20 minutes, turn and cook 20 minutes. Using tongs, lift out your potato.    

Slice potato in half and scoop out potato.

Add chicken and cheese.

Air Fry for 2 minutes, or until skins are crispy and the cheese is melted. Garnish with additional toppings if desired. Drizzle hot sauce or ranch dressing.
