The dessert bakes in a ceramic dish and then is flipped upside down to release from the pan so that the caramel pours down on top.

How to make flan de queso

Now that you have gathered your ingredients it is time to make flan de queso. All you have to do is follow the steps below:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Place a saucepan over medium heat and mix the water and sugar together. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved. Pour into your baking dish and set aside.

Beat together the cream cheese and eggs until well incorporated. Add the condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla.

Continue mixing until everything is fully incorporated. Pour into the baking dish over the sugar mixture.

Cover the pan in aluminum foil and then set into a larger baking dish that you’ve filled partially with water. Slide into the preheated oven and bake for 50 minutes or until cooked through.

Remove from the water and allow to cool for 30 minutes before transferring to the refrigerator.

Refrigerate for at least 8 hours or until the flan is firm. Once firm, run a sharp knife along the edge of the pan to loosen the flan. Place a plate on top and quickly flip the pan and plate upside down. The flan should let loose and fall onto the plate.

  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1/3 Cup water
  • 1 1/2 Cups cream cheese, softened
  • 7 Eggs
  • 1 Can condensed milk
  • 1 Cup evaporated milk
  • 1 Tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  4. Fill a big baking dish with water and place the baking dish with flan into it. Cover with aluminum foil and take to the oven.
  5. Bake for 50 minutes or until done.
