Did I scare you? Did you think November 2016 online income report was not going to happen? Well, it was, but since everything that could go wrong went wrong, it delayed this post.
The good news is that soon you will be able to read December 2016 online income report since we are in January by now. I could have said well I didn't want to write my income report because it was terrible, and it was, but nope it had nothing to do with that.
My site went down at the beginning of December; Comcast is now blocking some sites for me as well. My kids were sick, and I got sick too. My pageviews were terrible, and I spent more than I should, but the deals were amazing.
So let see how November treated me when it came to my blog income and what I've learned from this experience.
Let's begin this online income report, shall we?
If you are new to my blog, for quite some time I have started writing about my monthly online income report to help me get out of my comfort zone and for accountability. I became a stay at home mom after working for over 15 years. This journey was rough for me, and not just financially, but emotionally too. I formed some stay at home mom bad habits that led me to get out of my comfort zone, and that led me to start making money starting a blog.
I used BlueHost to start my blog, and personally, never had any issues with them. It is affordable, and for over three years.
*As of December 2016 I made the switch to LiquidWeb and moved all my sites and other sites to save money. I still recommend BlueHost to anyone that wants to start a blog.
After reading this book, How To Blog For Profit: Without Selling Your Soul, I became more confident and decided I could increase my income. The funny part was that I decided to aim low when it came to my income goal. I didn’t dare to dream big at the time.
I joined EBA (Elite Blog Academy) and that changed the way I handled my blog. I learned so much from turning my blog into a business and started from there. It was when I lost a chunk of my income that the drive to make more money from this blog became more important.
So far this in 2016 I have made over $11,000 in seven months, and all from the comfort of my home. I didn’t work long hours, and honestly, I didn’t work much on my blog due to health reasons. I am proud of my blog accomplishments today, though. I am also proud that I made that money on my own.
Below are my 2016 blog goals I created earlier this year:
A New Look! – I continue to work on behind the scene to make this happen, and you should see this late spring/early summer. – Done
Continue to grow my business – Not having the pageviews I was aiming for didn't affect my income wise as I thought.
Increase my page views to 250,000 – I gave up on this for this year.
Earn a monthly income of $2,000 a month – I didn't come close to the $22,000 I wanted to make this year, but I won't give up! I believe that this is possible and I will prove that to you all.
Help others – Giving back is an amazing feeling. As the year progresses, this is something that I enjoy doing. Seeing others succeed warms my heart. – Always.
As you can see from the goals above, I have completed some, and not completed others; but the there's always next year!

Let's talk expenses because they were pretty high. The reason expenses were pretty high was because I bought StockUnlimited Black Friday deal for 3 years for $79.00. Now you will not see a $10 for Canva every month now.
I paid for my other site hosting that I haven't worked on for a while and canceled. I am still waiting for my refund for that one.
Then I decided to give Tailwind a try, and I REGRET it. Sorry friends but I am a Boardbooster girl, and I just can't spend the time it requires. I am sure that it is a wonderful Pinterest scheduler but is not for me right now.
Unfortunately, I paid for one year, so I have to use it because I can't let the money go to waste! If anyone has any suggestion about how to make me like Tailwind, please email me!
For the month of November, I know that the elections killed my pageviews and I know that my blog needed lots of work, so I focused on that too. I can't write new content when I have to do some major cleaning.
For next year I will be focusing on saving, and I want to make sure that I have what I need to be taken care of, and this includes my blog.
For the month of December expect a bit more expenses!
How was November for you?
It’s amazing you have time for the blog with 3 kids and a baby. And with all those troubles last month. I’m sure you’ll achieve those goals this year with your determination.
This is the first time I see somebody complaints about Tailwind. Is it the learning curve that turned you down, or Boardbooster has better features?
I’m sure is just me but I grew my blog with BB though I did used TW at first and another scheduler. Tailwind has amazing features but there are things that I love about Boardbooster. I thought their detailed report was also available and it wasn’t. I also have to spend time scheduling pins which with BB I do but don’t spend too much time. I have a folder where I keep my top pins and have it set up to scheduled to go on certain days and time. I also love, LOVE, BB’s looping.
Now, because I paid for Tailwind for the entire year you bet I will be using it. Maybe in two months I will be like I LOVE TAILWIND!
Now for December Income Report which I was working on last night my income was crazy up.
Sorry for the long respond LOL Thank you for encouraging words!
My pageviews have been down the last couple of months too. 🙁 I think it comes with this time of the year though. Hopefully everything will pick up over the next couple of months.
I just began using Tailwind a couple months ago and I really like it. However, I’ve never used BoardBooster so I can’t compare it to that 🙂
You got Tailwind! Good! Going to make a tribe for personal finances to scheduled re-pins. I think Tailwind is good I just don’t think is for me. I spent too much time scheduling and sucks my time. I think for my pageviews once the elections came close everything went down hill for me LOL
I am currently trying out both BoardBooster and Tailwind. Right now I am using Tailwind to schedule pins to post at a later time. So instead of pinning immediately when I see something of interest I use the scheduler. That’s all I have figured out!
